Privacy policy
How Concordia Talent Solutions collects, uses and protects personal information. Last updated 29 September 2026.
Who we are
Concordia Talent Solutions Pty Ltd ("CTS", "we", "us") is a specialist actuarial and insurance recruitment firm registered in Australia. We help insurers, reinsurers and consulting firms in the United States, Canada, Bermuda and Asia hire, and we help candidates find their next role.
You can contact our privacy officer at privacy@concordiatalentsolutions.com or by post at Level 1, 63-73 Ann Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia.
The laws we follow
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Because we work with people in other countries, we also aim to meet the privacy laws that apply where they are, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Bermuda's Personal Information Protection Act 2016 (PIPA), Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and, for people in the UK and European Union, the UK and EU GDPR. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a specialist recruitment business to contact professionals about relevant roles, on your consent where you give it, and on our legal obligations. You can object to being contacted at any time, and if we found your details through a public or professional source, you can ask us where they came from.
What we collect
About candidates
Your name and contact details, such as email, phone number and LinkedIn profile.
Your CV and career history: employers, roles, credentials and exam progress, skills and education.
What you are looking for: the kind of role, locations, whether you would relocate, your notice period and whether you would need a work permit.
Your current and expected pay, if you choose to tell us.
Notes from our conversations, and our view of how you match particular roles.
About hiring managers and clients
Your name, job title, employer and business contact details.
Details of the roles you are hiring for, including pay budgets.
From this website
Enquiry forms: your name, email, company and message, and anything else you choose to add, such as a LinkedIn profile.
Role alert sign-up: your email address.
The Pay Index: the pay details you enter (for example market, credential, experience, sector, base salary and bonus), and your email only if you choose to add it. If you add your email and tick the box, we keep your salary with your details so we can suggest roles; otherwise it is stored without your name. The hiring budget check records the role details and budget you enter, plus your name, email and company if you ask us to get in touch. The tool also keeps your last entries in your own browser's local storage so it remembers them next time, and you can clear this in your browser settings.
Technical data and cookies: our website host (Webflow) and spam-protection service (Cloudflare Turnstile), both in the United States, process data such as your IP address and browser type to run the site and block spam. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. We use Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States) to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. It sets cookies on your device, except for visitors in the UK and European Economic Area, where it runs without cookies. We do not use it to identify you, and we remove any hiring budget from page addresses before they are recorded. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health details, religion or ethnicity. Please leave it out of your CV and messages.
How we collect it
From you, in calls, video meetings, emails, messages and the forms on this website.
From public and professional sources, such as LinkedIn, employer websites, professional directories and published articles.
From sourcing and contact-data services we subscribe to, which provide professional profiles and business contact details.
From people who refer you to us.
We sometimes record and transcribe calls and video meetings so our notes are accurate. We only do this with your agreement, and if you would rather we did not record, we won't.
How we use it
To talk to you about roles and the market, and to match candidates with roles.
To present candidates to employers. We only send a candidate's name or CV to an employer with the candidate's permission for that specific role.
To test an employer's interest before asking a candidate, we may describe the candidate's background in anonymised form, with their name, employer and other details that would readily identify them removed.
To contact hiring managers about roles and candidates relevant to their work.
To produce the CTS Actuarial Pay Index and our articles. Pay that people share with us is only ever used combined with other data, and we never publish anyone's individual salary.
To send you roles and pay updates if you leave your email for them on our website.
To run our business, keep records and meet our legal obligations.
We use software, including AI tools, to organise records, draft messages and suggest possible matches between candidates and roles. A person at CTS reviews every match and every message before anything is sent, and no decision about you is made by software alone.
Who we share it with
Employers we work with, only with the candidate's permission as described above.
Service providers that help us run the business, such as our CRM, email, website hosting and forms (Webflow), spam protection (Cloudflare), analytics and fonts (Google), data sourcing, email outreach, cloud storage and AI providers. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information.
Information held outside Australia
Many of our service providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Our clients and candidates are mainly in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Hong Kong, so information about candidates may be sent to employers in those places. Information held in another country is subject to that country's laws, which may allow courts and authorities there to access it. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone we share information with protects it.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate and client records while they are useful for the purposes above. In recruitment that can be several years, because careers are long and people often come back to us. We keep Pay Index entries only while they are useful for the index, and role alert sign-ups until you ask us to stop. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. We keep some records for longer where the law requires it, such as financial records.
Keeping it secure
We use established providers, encrypted connections and access controls, and only people who need information can see it. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the relevant regulator, as the law requires.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
Ask us to delete it, or to stop contacting you.
Withdraw your permission for us to share your details with a particular employer.
Ask us to stop emailing you at any time: reply to any email from us, use the unsubscribe link where there is one, or email privacy@concordiatalentsolutions.com.
Use the website and the Pay Index without giving your name.
Email privacy@concordiatalentsolutions.com with any request. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the privacy regulator where you live:
Australia: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, oaic.gov.au
Canada: Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, priv.gc.ca
Bermuda: Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Bermuda, privacy.bm
